Asia Society's Critical Issues Series

As a part of the Asia Society of Washington, D.C.'s Asian Critical Issues Series, Mira Kamdar and Tion Kwa will discuss the current economic situation in Asian on Tuesday February 19. FKA is attending the February 19 discussion entitled, “A Ticking Time Bomb: How long will Asia's poor wait for prosperity to trickle down?”

2008 U.S. Department of Labor Women's Bureau Conference

FKA, Inc. will be participating in a three-day event in honor of Women's History Month held by the Women's Bureau of the U.S. Department of Labor. The event, Building on the Past, Envisioning the Future: The Art of Women's Lives , aims to acknowledge the accomplishments and leadership of female pioneers, connect women and organizations with the tools to make a difference, inspire women to create change and to celebrate the art of women's lives.

Maritime Security and the U.S.-Japan Alliance Seminar

FKA, Inc. has been invited to a maritime security seminar hosted by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA, the Center for a New American Security and the Ocean Policy Research Foundation.

Keynote speakers include the Honorable Taro Aso, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Honorable Daniel Inouye, United States Senate. The program will include a panel discussion comprised of Japanese and American experts on maritime issues, including academics and institutional leaders. FKA's analysis of the discussion will be posted on our website following the event.
